Dear Copper Creek Family,

Welcome to the 2009-10 school year at Copper Creek.  This year we are fortunate to welcome the FAMILIES of Sonoran Mountain Ranch as new members of the Copper Creek community.  If you see a new face in the halls of Copper Creek, I encourage all to take the opportunity and introduce yourself. 

Our PTSA is an organization of parents, teachers, students and other dedicated individuals who volunteer their time, energy and resources to positively impact Copper Creek, our community and our children’s future.  With that in mind, our PTSA membership has changed to a Family membership.  Now when you join PTSA you join as a family!  As an added benefit, membership with the National PTA is included with your Copper Creek PTSA membership.  The National PTA is the oldest and largest child advocacy group in the country.  You will not sign up each individual member of your family as before, but will have one PTSA membership.  The fee is $20 per FAMILY.  Each Family that enrolls will have their Family name imprinted on our FAMILY membership Banner to be displayed prominently at Copper Creek.  The Family application deadline is September 11, 2009 so our banner can be complete by Parent Teacher Conferences in October.  We understand that everyone cannot donate their time at school.  By becoming a PTSA member, you are showing your support for your child, his/her teacher, and our school. 

Our goal this year at Copper Creek PTSA is to emphasize family at our events.  We are looking forward to hosting fun filled family events including: Pizza/Bingo Night, Walk/Bike to School Week, Art Week & National PTA Reflections program, Friday Popsicle sales, Quarterly Restaurant Nights, Adopt-a-Family, Ladies Night Out, Family Movie Night and we are looking to add more FAMILY events this year.  What a great way to spend some FAMILY time and support Copper Creek. 

This year we will continue our business memberships.  If you own a local business, this is a great way to support Copper Creek and advertise your business at the same time. 

Please join us this year at one of our monthly board meetings.  They are informal, informative and open to all.  Our next meeting will be on Monday, August 31st @ 6:30pm in the Media Center.  Future meetings will be listed on our website (www.coppercreekptsa.com). 

With your help we can continue to make a valuable impact at Copper Creek.  Thank you in advance for your dedication to the students, staff and administration at Copper Creek.
